This Equal Section 8ft 6in version (designed for long distance) is incredibly light in the hand, very sensetive to knocks and hits from structure and fish, and of course has fantastic stopping power when needed. Originally designed for long distance casts for big European perch, of course this can also be used perfectly in the sea for our favourite SW species.

These rods incorporate the latest CNT (Carbon Nano Tubing), from what I understand CNT in its molecular form is formed in tubes, making it extrememly strong for the amount of carbon used. This translates to a fishing rod that is very light but also very "steely", which both atributes are needed to perfect a rod for this style of fishing.

As for the action of the rod, well it is indeed "steely" to the tip, making it very sensetive, but the tip has a little life in it, just the slightest bend, but the power comes straight in when you hit the rod to strike the hook home. This is indeed a rod and a style that I am personally really looking forward to learning. So in a nutshell, if you like using weightless or very slightly weighted soft lures, the team at Ultimate Fishing in France have designed this rod and have taken into account all the formats needing in this form of fishing here in Europe.
